Gaidar's biography is very short at Wikipedia. there was far more to his life; he was a madly interesting character and a really good writer. everybody was shocked when his grandson popped up in the beginning of the Perestroika and turned out to be fat, mild, cowardly economist whose liberalistic reforms failed with a great thunder. Gaidar's grandchild! my God!
